To ensure creators can confidently use your music in their videos without issues, Thematic automatically opts your sound recordings into YouTube’s Content ID system while your songs are active on our platform.

Content ID scans YouTube for videos using your songs, and only videos created by non-Thematic (non-licensed) users are claimed and monetized. This means Thematic creators who have licensed your music through our platform can use it for free without triggering claims.

When non-licensed users post videos with your music, Thematic claims and monetizes those videos on your behalf.

You keep 80% of all earnings from this user-generated content (UGC), while Thematic retains the remaining 20%.
