How to add, manage, and switch between YouTube channels & projects

Add a YouTube Channel to Your Thematic Account

To avoid copyright claims and properly activate your music licenses, you need to add your YouTube channel(s) to Thematic.

To add your first channel:

1. Log in to your Thematic account.

2. Click your profile photo in the top right corner and select Add Channel.

3. Enter your Channel ID or a link to any video from that channel in the pop-up box.

4. Click Save.

5. Your added channel will appear with a ✅. If you entered the wrong channel, click Replace to update it.

Replacing an Incorrect YouTube Channel

If you accidentally added the wrong YouTube channel or realize you need to update it:

1. Log in to your Thematic account.

2. Click your profile photo and select Switch Account.

3. Click Manage Channels.

4. Find the channel you want to replace and click the Replace text.

5. This will open a pop-up window where you can select your correct channel.

This ensures your music licenses are properly activated for the right channel and your videos remain protected from copyright claims.

Add Multiple Channels & Create Projects (Pro Users)

Creators with a Pro subscription can add unlimited YouTube channels on Thematic:

1. Log in to your Thematic account.

2. Click your profile photo and select Switch Account.

3. Click Manage Channels.

4. Click + Add Channel.

5. Enter the Channel ID or a video link for the new channel.

6. Click Save.

Each project corresponds to a YouTube channel, helping you organize your content and licenses efficiently.

Switch Between YouTube Channels & Projects

Need to switch which channel or project you’re working on? It’s simple:

1. Click your profile photo in the top right corner.

2. Select Switch Account.

3. Choose the YouTube channel you want to use for your current session.

Your selected channel's name will be shown in the profile drop-down menu so you always know which channel you’re logged in as. 😎
